A week ago today we began our journey home. As I began to post these little notes to remember and share what we saw and did in Haiti I want to begin with a disclaimer. I feel like I really have nothing to say...it humbles me that so many of you are interested. I hope and pray that something of our journey will give light to your path as you walk with me through this life. As everyone who goes into a third world country realizes, we are a blessed country. One of the truths I had been impressed with in recent weeks from Isa.40:27 says to me that in this life we do not get what we deserve. We get what the Lord /our God has designed(created) for each of us to be used for his glory and our good. The Westminster confession states "the chief aim of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever." I decided after seeing many people in life die that I do not want to die before I die.(as much as it is in my control that is). In other words too many of us lose our passion for life as our energy wains. It was my pleasure to be able to share a little of the energy and resources that I have been given in Haiti.
"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint" Isa. 40:31
Thank you Erin for caring enough for your mature electronically challenged Mom to teach her about blogging. Could not have done it without you.
